INGREDIENTS

  • 5kg ripe tomatoes
  • 5 tablespoons virgin olive oil

PROCEDURE

  1. Rinse tomatoes properly.
  2. Remove stems, and cut into smaller size.
  3. Blend until the tomatoes have all reduced into a sauce.
  4. Strain out the skin and seeds of the tomatoes over a pot.
  5. Heat the sauce over low heat until simmering, stirring every once in a while and checking on the consistency.
  6. Add olive oil once you've achieved the desired consistency and stir.
  7. Your tomato paste is ready to be used in recipes, or ready to be stored.

      It could last for a month if stored in the refrigerator while 2-3 weeks under room temperature. It may alsolast longer if you use organic tomato

    Your Message can I add preservative? if yes, shelf life

      Hello Horla, If you must add preservative, the shelf life will depend on the type of preservative you choose. It usually last up to 2 years with preservative.
